Induction workshop for the Horn of Africa Groundwater Resilience Program (GW4RP)

Water Resources Authority (WRA) just concluded a comprehensive induction workshop for the Horn of Africa Groundwater Resilience Program (GW4RP).

The workshop, which took place from December 18 to 22, 2023, brought together county representatives, WRA Project Implementation Unit teams, and other WRA staff.

The Workshop focused on emphasizing the program’s goals, objectives, project structure, and procurement plans, work plan development, budgeting, financing agreements, and financial management, along with the monitoring and evaluation frameworks and tools for data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Additionally, they discussed the project’s communication strategy, environmental and social standards, and conducted a dedicated exploration of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and issues related to Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (SEAH).

The workshop concluded with participants outlining a strategic direction for the project’s future, emphasizing initiatives such as engaging county stakeholders.
