WRA participated and exhibited at the GEO-EAST African Conference and Expo (GEOACE) at Panari Hotel, along Mombasa Road, Nairobi, Kenya.
The just concluded #GEOEACE2024 conference and expo, hosted by the Geological Society of Kenya, centered around the theme ‘Beyond 2030: East Africa’s Geo-Resources Portfolio for Economic Development and Energy Transitions.’
During the event, WRA highlighted sustainable groundwater management for water security, focusing on its role in data management, permit applications, and the E-Permitting System.
The conference also featured discussions on groundwater resource mapping and provided a platform for the WRA to discuss measures for protecting groundwater resources and ensuring their sustainable use for economic development.
In addition to groundwater sustainability, the conference explored the significance of natural resources and the crucial role of geologists in informed decision-making and responsible resource management.
Attendees gained insights on measures to protect natural resources from overexploitation, all aimed at leveraging East Africa’s Geo-Resources Portfolio for Economic Development and Energy Transitions.
