On going terracing by Thwake Kalawa WRUA in Thwake Dam catchment area. The work began on 8/11/2023 and have done 5212 meters long of 3 by 2 feet out of a target of 8000 meters. They remain with 2788 meters to complete the terraces project and begin the gabions project. Three WRUAS namely Mukio Thwake, Thwake Kalawa and Mbimbini WRUAS from Makueni County have received funds from WRA to implementing their respective SCMP activities. Terracing is aimed at controlling soil erosion and sedimentation in the Thwake dam that is under construction. The activity is intended to be completed by end of January 2023.
