Kenya WRUAs successfully launched it’s Strategic Plan 2024-2029.
The PS- State department of Water and Sanitation, Mr. Julius Korir officially launched the strategic plan 2024-2029. In his remarks he reiterated the importance of Intergrated Water Resources Management(IWRM) in advocating for land use practices that encourage coverage as well as enhancing water recharge points to increase ground and surface water quantities. WRA CEO Mr. Mohammed Shurie who was also in attendance, promised to support the KeNAWRUA in the implemention of the strategic plan. He further emphasized that the implementation of the strategic plan is a step in the right direction as it will help the publics understand that water comes from the catchments and not the tap. He further mentioned that local communities play a vital role in ensuring that our catchments are well protected and thus should be supported. CEO WSTF, CEO WWF and CEO WASPA also graced the occasion.
