WRA’s Participation at the Kenya Sanitation Governance Conference and Exhibition 2024

WRA led by CEO Mr. Mohamed Shurie, participated in this year’s Kenya Sanitation Governance Conference and Exhibition 2024. The event was organized by the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation, and the Water and Sanitation Providers Association with the theme “Promoting Good Governance to Accelerate Safely Managed Sanitation.”
WRA engaged stakeholders during a panel discussion titled “Managed Sanitation: Enhancing On-site Sanitation and River Regeneration in Kenya,” alongside the Nairobi River Commission, Wash Voice, NAWASCo, and the International Development Institute-Africa. During the discussion, WRA’s Water Quality and Pollution Control Manager, Mr. Fred Nyongesa, reiterated WRA’s commitment to regulating and protecting water resources by consistently promoting smart sanitation practices. He urged all stakeholders involved in river regeneration programs to collaborate and avoid working in silos for the benefit of our environment, biodiversity, and the sustainability of our water resources.
